I must be honest with you, I actually finished The Outsiders quite a while ago, but I just could not move on from it. It was that good. But let me rather get to the point before I get all emotional.
For a while, I wondered what the big fuss surrounding The Outsiders was all about. I found out soon enough. The language used is colourful, but without trying too hard, and the characters are as realistic as they come.
This is one of the few books that has managed to make me cry. Actual slobbery tears. Of course, I will never admit this. But, I digress.
Would I say this was a good book? That would be an injustice, seeing as this book is brilliant, intense, excellent, and pretty much any other word that would help me better describe the fact that it took my breath away. But don’t take a humble little praise singer’s opinion for it. The Outsiders is a masterpiece that one needs to discover for oneself.
